NEW: 10-Day Weather Forecast Views

We recently announced that our summer service, OpenSummit, will be retired and merged into OpenSnow.

As part of this merge, now in OpenSnow, you can use the new "Weather" tab on the Favorites screen (1) and any location screen (2) to focus on summer weather forecasts.

This new "Weather" tab on the location screen provides:

  • Current Conditions
  • Estimated Trail Conditions (dry, wet, or snowy)
  • 10-Day Hourly Forecasts (precip, lightning, temp, wind, & clouds)
  • Sunrise & Sunset Times
  • Moonrise & Moonset Times

You can view this summer-focused weather forecast data on the "Weather" tab (1) or keep your eye on winter-focused snow forecast data using the “Snow Summary” tab (2).

The new "Weather" tab is useful for planning your summer-focused outdoor adventures such as moving your ride to a drier window of time or adjusting your hike to be finished before the risk of lightning increases.

To see the "Weather" tab, update to the latest version of the OpenSnow app by going to either the App Store or Google Play, searching for "OpenSnow", then tapping "Update".

As a reminder, viewing the detailed 10-day "Weather" and "Snow Summary" tabs for any location on any device is available by upgrading to All-Access for $29.99 per year (Single, 1 Person) or $39.99 per year (Group, 4 People).
