July will start out on a relatively quiet note across much of the West with summer heat also moving into the West Coast and Intermountain regions. Showers & thunderstorms can still be expected at times across the Northern Rockies and also the Colorado Rockies through early next week, while temperatures will also be cooler east of the Divide compared to west.
